Victoire de Samothrace (Winged Victory)
“Victoire de Samothrace” (Winged Victory) is a large sculpture which is one of collections of Louvre Museum.
The statue was excavated in Samothrace island.
It represents the goddess of victory – Nike.
You might be familiar with Nike, the name of sport brand and it is from this goddess.
The head is lost from this sculpture, but the total balance is perfect and beautiful.
It is very attractive and KOUSCH made a T-shirt design drawing this statue.
The design inspired by botanical pictures in Arabic ancient culture.
Leaves and flowers on bushy trees.
The overlapping and a little misaligned 2 colors make a unique nuance.
